FMGE December 2026 Exam Date: What We Know So Far

The FMGE December 2026 session has not been officially announced as of August 2026. Based on the tentative NBEMS annual calendar and the pattern from previous December sessions, the following dates are expected. These are estimates, not confirmed by NBEMS.

One naming quirk matters here. The "December session" is named after its registration window, not its exam date. The exam itself is held in January of the following year. The December 2025 session exam was held on January 17, 2026. The December 2024 session exam was held on January 12, 2025. FMGE Exam Pattern 2026: Locked Sections and Structure

The exam format has two features that directly affect how you should prepare. Both have been in effect since the 2024 sessions.

Since May 2024, each 150-question part is divided into three sequential locked sections of 50 questions and 50 minutes each. When the 50-minute timer ends, the section closes automatically. FMGE 2026 Registration Date and How to Apply

Here is how to apply for FMGE 2026, in the order the steps actually have to happen.

Step 1: get your Eligibility Certificate first. Apply for the NMC Eligibility Certificate at nmc.org.in if you do not already have one. This is the most common administrative delay and processing takes weeks. Start the moment your MBBS results are declared, rather than waiting for the FMGE bulletin.

Step 6: pay the fee and confirm. Pay the application fee, approximately ₹6,195 including GST, through the NBEMS portal using net banking, card, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable. Save your payment confirmation receipt.

FMGE Exam Day Schedule and Guidelines

What to bring, and what to leave behind:

Report to the Reporting Counter 30 minutes before your scheduled test time, which is 6:30 AM for the standard morning slot. Candidates who arrive after the session starts may not be permitted to appear.

FMGE Admit Card 2026, Result and Scorecard

The FMGE scorecard and the FMGE pass certificate are two different documents.
