The June 2026 pass rate of 12.77% is the lowest June session result in recent years. Fewer candidates appeared than in December 2025 (37,448 against 42,872), but significantly fewer qualified. That reflects a harder paper, not a weaker pool of candidates. Difficulty variation between sessions is the primary driver of these swings, not the cutoff, which stays fixed at 150/300.

Why most candidates fail — and what it actually takes
FMGE is a 300-question exam covering 20 subjects across the whole MBBS syllabus. Most candidates who fail do not fail because they do not know medicine. They fail because the Indian exam pattern differs from what they studied abroad — the question style, the integration of concepts, and the time pressure of locked sections are all unfamiliar.
The gap between June and December pass rates is not random. December candidates have more time after their MBBS results to prepare in an exam-specific way. The candidates who pass consistently are the ones who practised previous year questions in the exact format, found their weak subjects through analytics, and corrected them before exam day — not the ones who simply covered more content.

Doctors who cleared FMGE with Reflex
These are foreign medical graduates — some who failed once before, some attempting for the first time. What they share is using previous year question practice and subject analytics to find and fix their weak areas.
I had failed FMGE twice before I found Reflex. Not because I did not know medicine, I did. The subject-wise accuracy breakdown showed me I was losing 11 marks in Pharmacology alone. Three months of fixing that specific gap and I cleared on my third attempt.

NBEMS removes scorecards six months after issue. Download and save yours before January 16, 2027 — requests after expiry are rejected.
